Farmington’s Rambling River Center will launch a new food program for seniors June 19.
Senior Food for Health will provide 15 to 30 pounds of food free to eligible seniors the third Thursday of every month. To qualify, individuals must be at least 55 years old and a Farmington area resident. Their income cannot be greater than 200 percent of the poverty level — $19,600 for a single-person household or $26,400 for a two-person household.
Residents must bring their own bags or carts.
The first distribution will take place at 1:30 p.m. June 19 at Rambling River Center, 431 Third St. For more information, call 651-322-3556.

There will be an open house at 6 p.m. June 19 to present concept designs for the proposed development on UMore Park property in Empire Township. The Dakota City genealogy class will meet at 1 p.m. June 21 at Ahlberg Hall on the Dakota County Fairgrounds. Anyone interested in family history is invited to attend.

Good Fats, Bad Fats
Dr. Emily Thompson of Hadler Family Chiropractic will hold a free workshop at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. June 25. The workshop will focus on the fats in our diets.
