Letter: Return board to what it should be

The upcoming school board election for District 192 is very important. This is a chance to return the board to what a real school board should function as — the taxpayer representative that ensures necessities are met and which is not a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Education Association or the current school superintendent.

To the editor,

The upcoming school board election for District 192 is very important. This is a chance to return the board to what a real school board should function as — the taxpayer representative that ensures necessities are met and which is not a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Education Association or the current school superintendent.

We need new people that understand financial accountability and responsibility. What we don’t need is another school board acting as a rubber stamp and subject whims of conflict of interest agendas exhibited by the current board.
