Mining at UMore gets OK

Years of work culminated Tuesday night in the Rosemount City Council’s approval of a series of actions to allow Dakota Aggregates to mine nearly 900 acres on the UMore Park property in southeast Rosemount. UMore also includes land in Empire Township.

Cable commission is in the early stages of renewing its franchise agreement in Farmington

In 2014 the cooperative agreement that makes cable television available through Charter Communications to Rosemount, Farmington and Apple Valley residents will run out. The three cities have begun the contract renewal process and as such are asking residents to fill out an online survey.

Public can speak up on UMore mining plan

Got an opinion on mining at UMore? The Rosemount Planning Commission wants to hear it. The planning commission will hold the first of two public hearings at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 28 at city hall. During the hearing the commission will take comments from residents on the project.
