Years of work culminated Tuesday night in the Rosemount City Council’s approval of a series of actions to allow Dakota Aggregates to mine nearly 900 acres on the UMore Park property in southeast Rosemount.
UMore also includes land in Empire Township.

The planning commission will hold the first of two public hearings at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 28 at city hall. During the hearing the commission will take comments from residents on the project.
