Heat creates ripples in the air as a Farmington firefighter prepares to put out a simulated gas fire Thursday at the Northern Natural Gas facility in Farmington. Northern Natural Gas offers the training every other year in Farmington to help firefighters from nearby departments learn the tricks to fighting a natural gas fire. There were several days of training this week.
