Audrey C. Smith (Royce), age 92, of Farmington, passed away March 26.

Preceded in death by husbands, Virgil Hoffman, Russel Royce, and Dale Smith; infant grandchildren Angelic Schnell and Royce Palo; brothers, Marvin and Russell Pietsch; sisters Dorothy Petersen and Florence Vincent.

Survived by her children, Ron (Randi) Royce, Debbie (Steve) Palo, and Kerry (Nancy) Royce; sister Evelyn Thompson; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; also by nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Audrey was a VFW Auxiliary past president, American Legion Auxiliary past president, and a member of Faith United Methodist Church. She was active in the Faith Church WSWS and also a member of the Northfield Eagles and an honorary member of the Farmington Fire Department - dispatch for 27 years.

Audrey owned and operated Farmington Ambulance Service for 10 years in the mid ‘50s, managed Duebers Clothing store, and was manager of Country View Mobile Home Park. She was also a proud volunteer at Dakota City for 15 years.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 30, at Faith United Methodist Church (Hwy 3) Farmington. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service at church. Interment: Corinthian Cemetery, Farmington.
