David Wayne Alexander, age 60, of St. Paul, died peacefully on Aug. 23 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul surrounded by family.

David Wayne Alexander, age 60, of St. Paul, died peacefully on Aug. 23 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul surrounded by family.
He is survived by his mother, Joan; brothers Thomas (Ruth Ann), Paul; sisters, Pam (Bill) Springer, Linda (Art) Barnett, Jan (Todd) Jasmin, and Beth (LeAllan Estrem); great-aunt Evelyn Folstrom; aunt Jean (Alan) Cook; uncle John Whittier; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Myrle and Vera (St. John) Alexander, Melvin and Florence (Bohman) Thor; father, Robert, and brother James.
David had a successful roofing company, was an avid reader and gardener, and loved a good political debate.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, at Faith United Methodist Church in Farmington, with visitation at the church 1 hour before the service. Memorials preferred to the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org.
