The city of Farmington hosted the 15th annual Pollution Prevention Day at Rambling River Park this week. More than 550 Farmington fourth grade students participated in the event.

  • Fourth grade students from Farmington Elementary School learned about the habits of skunks at the Minnesota Zoo station.
  • Students from Meadoview Elementary School learned just how easy it is to contaminate ground water through a hands-on demonstration conducted by Farmingotn natural resource specialist Jen Dullum. Dullum used pollutant-free materials to simulate actual water pollutants, but kids didn't learn the truth until after the experiment was complete.
