City council makes another budget change
Just when it looked like a budget and levy was set for 2012, the Farmington City Council decided to make one more change -- to go back to where they started. On a 3-2 vote Monday, council members approved the 2012 levy of $8,565,982, which was the same as last year’s levy. In doing so, the city council removed $141,192 in fiscal disparities money that had been factored in to the 2012 budget.

It might not be too long before paper copies of the Farmington City Council agenda packets are a thing of the past. Council members are considering doing away with the traditional paper copies of biweekly council packets and instead opening the documents on a laptop or iPad.
