Computer geeks welcome at Riverview Elementary School
It’s okay to be a computer geek around Riverview Elementary School. In fact, there’s even a club for you. Twice a month, about 20 fourth and fifth grade students meet in the computer labs after school for computer club. It’s a new club this year that has students teaching students, and students teaching adults, too.

iPad rollout continues in district schools
The Farmington School District is taking the next step in a process that will eventually put an iPad in the hands of every district student. Last week school board members approved a three-year, $533,751 lease agreement that will provide 1,420 of the Apple tablet computers to students at Farmington High School. A 26-year-old Farmington man has been charged with possessing and sharing pornographic images and videos involving children. Joshua Reger called the pornographic works “fascinating” in a complaint that details a police investigation that led to five felony counts of possessing child pornography.
