North Trail Elementary School is collecting gently used winter coats for children of all sizes for the Salvation Army’s Coats for Kids program. Coats, snow pants, hats, gloves, mittens and boots will be accepted at the school through Wednesday, Oct. 17.

Does anyone else think it’s weird that we’re almost halfway through November and – as of the time I wrote this — it hasn’t snowed yet? I’m surely not complaining that the weather has been nice. A day later the team put together a furious three-goal rally late to tie the score against Burnsville only to have the Blaze secure the victory with a goal in the final 30 seconds.
