MVES makes $5,000 donation to the Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy victims
Even though a recent fundraiser was based on reading, Meadowview Elementary School students learned a new lesson about giving. On Friday, MVES principal Lisa Edwards presented a $5,000 check to Kristin Peters of the American Red Cross. The money was raised by students in November to help victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Dakota County plans road construction, roundabout for Farmington
When the Farmington City Council gave its approval to a Dakota County 2013-17 capital improvement plan request Monday, council members affirmed the reconstruction of 195th Street from Flagstaff Avenue on the west, to Diamond Path on the east. As part of that project, council members agreed to the county’s plan to bring a roundabout to the intersection of Pilot Knob Road and 195th Street.
