Farmington foreclosures on the decline in 2012

Aid available for flood damaged fields
Looking at the dry, yellow stalks of corn in many Dakota County fields, it might be hard to think of the flood waters that stood in many of those same fields early in the 2012 growing season. But the Minnesota Department of Agriculture remembers those days. That’s why the MDA is accepting applications for flood assistance from agricultural producers in 15 Minnesota counties, including Dakota County.

But it was. In fact, all of those emergency vehicles were out front for a good purpose – to get eighth grade students thinking about their futures.

Election season hits high gear
By late this week, it’s a pretty good bet city of Farmington executive assistant Cindy Muller will be ready for a nice, quiet few days off. Because truth be told, she’s been pretty busy around city hall these days. Not only does Muller have to worry about things like attending city council meetings and workshops, but she’s had plenty to do on top of that the past few weeks. She’s got an election to run.
