The Farmington Fire Department may not get its new chief’s vehicle next year thanks to some last-minute cuts to the city of Farmington’s budget. That was the consensus reached during Monday’s Farmington City Council budget workshop, where council members were asked to identify $152,000 cuts to the 2013 budget.

Hanson will take Farmington finance job pending city council approval
If all goes according to plan, the city of Farmington will welcome a new finance director on Sept. 20. Farmington resident Robin Hanson has accepted the city’s offer to become the finance director. She has been offered a starting salary of $76,448. City administrator David McKnight is pleased with her decision.

Letter: Opponent’s accusations were inaccurate, mayor says
This letter is in response to last week’s letter to the editor from Dave Pritzlaff. Although Mr. Pritzlaff has admitted to some bad math when it comes to when he was a member of the Farmington City Council (2004-2008) he has not corrected the mistake on the flyers he is handing out or on his website.
