Dodge Middle School raises $3,200 for Lymphoma and Leukemia Society
Dodge Middle School student council advisor Kelsey Knox was pleased with the $120 students donated to the Pennies for Patients program to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society last year. But she’s thrilled about the $3,200 they donated this year.

Students at Dodge Middle School are learning important lessons these days. If they want to live in a healthy world, they have to make it happen. DMS is just one of the schools around School District 192 that is implementing some kind of environmental education program. It falls under the Schools in Energy Efficiency initiative the district participates in, said DMS Green Team advisor Sara Drazkowski.

Tiger Classic to bring 158 youth teams to Farmington
The 23rd-annual Farmington Tiger Classic Tournament will be held in Farmington Saturday and Sunday. A total of 158 boys teams from five states will be competing in tournaments for grades four through eight. Games will be played at Farmington High School, Boeckman Middle School and Dodge Middle School.

Halloween walk draws more than 1,000
More than 1,000 Farmington-area kids got a jump on their trick-or-treating Friday night at the city's annual Halloween walk. This year's event, held in the gym at Dodge Middle School, drew 1,088 kids and 672 adults for an evening of safe indoor candy gathering. Twenty eight local businesses were on hand to hand out treats, a record for the event.

FHS students plan Toys for Town fundraising events
Farmington High School will kick off its week of fundraising activities for Toys for Town with the annual Dodge Ball Tournament from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10. The annual Mr. Farmington competition will be held at 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 12, in the FHS recital hall. Admission is $4 per person, with all proceeds going to Toys for Town.
