Farmington daycare provider charged in 2012 death of infant
Rebecca Lynn Graupmann of Farmington has been charged with two counts of manslaughter in the second degree and one count of endangerment of a child, one count of neglect of a child and interference with a death scene. The charges all relate to the death of 3-month-old Kaiden Robert Staebell. Graupmann was the child’s daycare provider.

Farmington woman charged with $95,000 swindle
A Farmington woman has been charged with the theft of $95,000 from the Lakeville bank where she worked. The Dakota County Attorney’s office charged Leah Marie Bremner, 31, with felony theft by swindle for the thefts, which are alleged to have occurred between May and October of 2010.

A 50-year-old Rosemount woman faces felony charges of criminal vehicular operation after a Friday night accident in which she lost control in a roundabout at Highway 3 and 190th Street and hit another car head on. The woman, Elizabeth Dawn Nelson, was seriously hurt in the accident. Three others received minor injuries.

Police chase hits 100 mph in Farmington
An early-morning police chase hit speeds of up to 100 miles per hour on Feb. 21 on the streets of downtown Farmington. According to a complaint filed this week in the Dakota County Attorney’s office, the chase started with a seemingly routine traffic stop on Eighth Street. The driver, later identified as 34-year-old Jose Luis Ruiz of San Pedro, Calif., caught police attention shortly before 2:30 a.m. thanks to a noisy muffler. Police then watched him drive through two stop signs.
