Task force agents find drugs in Farmington home during December search
Dakota County Drug Task Force agents found drugs, syringes and a “large sum of cash” when they searched a Farmington home shortly after Christmas. The Dakota County Attorney’s office has charged 26-year-old Michael Marshall Simmons with a felony drug offense as a result of the search.

Work on the Farmington Veterans Memorial has stalled over the winter months, but chairman Leon Orr expects it to pick up again very soon. Located in Rambling River Park, the long-awaited veterans memorial has been sitting under a blanket of snow over the winter months.

Accident closes Highway 3 Wednesday evening
The Minnesota State Patrol closed Highway 3 south of Farmington Thursday afternoon because of an accident. State troopers were waiting for an accident reconstruction team shortly before 5 p.m. Traffic was being diverted down Highway 86 through Castle Rock.
