Farmington swimmers top Minneapolis South, 99-58
meet against the Minneapolis South Tigers last Thursday at the Dodge Middle School pool. The host Tigers clinched the 99-58 win and sent the meet into exhibition scoring for the final four events by finishing first in the first eight events and coming in 1-2-3 in five of them.

Parkland named for Farmington's first parks director
Former Farmington parks and recreation director Jim Bell remembers well negotiating the purchase of a large chunk of parkland north of 195th Street, and he remembers the trees that had to be cleared so a pair of ponds could be constructed there, too. Swimming: O’Reilly leads Tigers to 19th
It was another successful trip the Class 2A state meet for the Farmington swimming and diving team. The Tigers got two more all-state performances from junior Kaitlyn O’Reilly and all four swimmers in the 15th-place 200 freestyle relay turned in lifetime-best splits as the team placed 19th out of 34 scoring teams with 31 points at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center.

It’s going to be another busy state meet for Kaitlyn O’Reilly.
