‘Desperate’ time for Toys for Town drive
Farmington police chief Brian Lindquist has a bone to pick with Mother Nature. Sure, Mother Nature has given us some unseasonably warm temperatures, and sure, those warm temperatures are shortening Minnesota’s long winter season. But he believes those same warm temperatures are having a huge effect on Farmington’s Toys for Town toy collection.

Parkland named for Farmington's first parks director
Former Farmington parks and recreation director Jim Bell remembers well negotiating the purchase of a large chunk of parkland north of 195th Street, and he remembers the trees that had to be cleared so a pair of ponds could be constructed there, too. He planned the trail system near those ponds, and now all of Farmington can remember his contributions every time they use those trails.

Election season hits high gear
By late this week, it’s a pretty good bet city of Farmington executive assistant Cindy Muller will be ready for a nice, quiet few days off. Because truth be told, she’s been pretty busy around city hall these days. Not only does Muller have to worry about things like attending city council meetings and workshops, but she’s had plenty to do on top of that the past few weeks. She’s got an election to run.
