Hobby becomes a business
Guns are a recurring theme in Leroy Van Brunt’s office. On one wall, there is a frame that displays a series of bullets in different sizes. On another is a poster with the Second Amendment to the Constitution, guaranteeing citizens the right to bear arms. There is a Ziploc bag on his desk filled with large-caliber bullets, and Van Brunt holds one in his hands as he talks.

Farmington community provided a special parade for an Empire Township resident
Before last weekend, Jacob Albeck was a fan of parades only in theory. He liked marching bands, his mother, Michelle, said, and he liked loud noises and candy. He was a fan of the component parts of any good parade, in other words, but because of a rare genetic condition called nonketotic hyperglycinema, the 16-year-old Empire Township boy had never actually seen one in person.
