Girls soccer: Tigers split with ranked teams 
The seventh-ranked teams in Class 1A and 2A, respectively, served as tough tests for the Farmington girls soccer team last week.
For the most part, the Tigers passed the tests with flying colors. They pulled off a 1-0 upset of Holy Angels last Tuesday in Richfield, and then played through 80 minutes of scoreless regulation before falling to Eagan 2-0 last Thursday at Tiger Stadium.

After losing back-to-back games to Prior Lake and Apple Valley, the Tigers took the field Thursday against a less-familiar Rochester John Marshall team and dominated from start to finish in a 3-0 shutout at Tiger Stadium.
