Tennis: Tigers come close but lose two matches 
Megan Stivers accounted for Farmington’s lone win in last Thursday’s 6-1 loss at Simley.
Stivers, a sophomore, used a strong finish to hold on for a 7-5, 4-6 (7-5) decision at No. 4 singles. The only other match to go to a third set was No. 3 singles, where junior Melanie Kappes lost 3-6, 6-2 (7-1).

Tennis: Sqeakers don’t go team’s way at home invitational 
The Farmington girls tennis team opened the season last Monday by placing second out of three teams in the Mound Doubles Tournament. The team then lost a 4-3 heartbreaker in a head-to-head match against Faribault Thursday before coming in third out of four teams at its own Farmington Invitational Friday morning at Boeckman Middle School.

Tennis: Roberts improves to 3-0 at Park 
After having two straight matches postponed, the Farmington tennis team got back on the court for a 6-1 loss to Park Monday afternoon.
Seth Roberts picked up the team’s lone win at No. 3 singles, 6-4, 6-2, to improve his record to 3-0.

Tennis: Doubles teams score wins during loss to Minnehaha Academy 
Farmington’s girls tennis team remained winless, but came away with some positives after three straight losses last week.
The Tigers played some of their most competitive singles tennis of the season in Friday’s 7-0 loss at Northfield, and the team’s doubles play was in good form during home losses to Holy Angels and Minnehaha Academy last Monday and Tuesday.
