Head coach Jack Olwell wasn't at all displeased at the effort put forth by his Farmington girls tennis team during Tuesday's 7-0 home loss to Hastings. In fact, he was quite impressed his Tigers were able to play several tight matches against a team he expected would be a tough challenge.

The Farmington girls tennis team opened the season by winning eight out of a possible 18 matches and claiming at least one round in each of the six flights at the Mound Invitational Doubles Tournament Monday morning at Mound-Westonka High School.

The Hutchinson boys tennis team kept Farmington winless with a 7-0 sweep in Missota Conference action Monday afternoon. The match had previously been postponed due to the weather on April 17 and 18, but conditions were near perfect on the third try at Farmington High School.
