Habeck named Freshman of the Year 
The American Volleyball Coaches Association All-America Teams were released last Monday with Concordia predominantly featured. Megan Carlson (Andover, Minn.), Kayla Koenecke (Delano, Minn.) and Amanda Konetchy (Victoria, Minn.) were all named to the first team. Katie Habeck, a 2011 Farmington graduate, was named to the second team and the AVCA National Freshman of the Year.

Volleyball: Tigers fifth at Century
Farmington’s volleyball team wasn’t fazed by a 2-0 sweep at the hands of second-ranked Jackson County Central in the opening round of the Rochester Century Invitational Saturday.
The Tigers, after seeing their losing streak stretch to 12 games with a 25-7, 25-16 loss to the eventual tournament champions, won two of their next three matches to finish fifth in the 16-team competition.
