Farmington superintendent is a finalist for Nebraska job
Farmington superintendent Brad Meeks is one of four finalists in the running to be superintendent of schools in Grand Island, Neb.
Meeks, who has been Farmington’s superintendent since 2003, is scheduled to interview for the job next week.

FHS names homecoming candidates
The Farmington High School 2010 homecoming court has been announced.
Homecoming queen candidates are Devyn Alberts, Nicole Clifton, Madeleine Cook, Kaitlyn Habeck, Brianne Kashak, Brook King, Paige Lindrud, Janine Miller, Viktoriya Nesvetaylov and Emily Severson.
Candidates for homecoming king are Sebren Baer, Blair Berg, Bryce Clark, Tyler Grubb, Matthew Kadrlik, Kyle Kapustka, Thomas Korbein, Trevor Lachance, Zachary Wallace and Zachary Wyatt.

Editorial: Suit should have been settled sooner
The settlement approved Monday to bring an end to a two-year-old lawsuit between Independent School District 192 and the architect that designed its new high school is welcome. It brings to an end a long dispute and ties up one of the last significant loose ends in the construction of a building that opened to students more than a year ago.
