Girls basketball: Ranked teams roll by Tigers
Two of the state’s premier Class 3A teams made short work of Farmington last week.
Fourth-ranked Chaska led by 25 points at halftime in a 66-32 bouncing of the Tigers last Tuesday in Chaska. The return to Tiger Gym saw the Tigers close the gap some on Friday, but third-ranked Red Wing still exited with a 54-37 decision.

Things were looking good for the Farmington girls basketball team in the first half of last week’s game against Shakopee. Fresh from the consolation championship of a holiday tournament in Monticello, the Tigers seemed to have some momentum.

A pair of close losses offered good news and bad news for the Farmington girls basketball team last week.
The good news was the young and inexperienced Tigers were getting closer to their elusive first victory after losing their first three games by 30, 15 and 10 points.
