Football, Week 2: Slow start dooms Tigers, 27-19
In last week's season opener, Farmington played well in the first half before a poor second half resulted in a seven-point road loss to Rochester Mayo.
The Tigers continued their inconsistent play Friday night, falling behind 19-0 at Red Wing in an eventual 27-19 Missota Conference road setback. It was Farmington's first loss to Red Wing since October of 2004.

Football: Three-touchdown lead disappears as Tigers fall to Mayo
A fast start and a career night from junior quarterback Darren Beenken weren’t enough to get Farmington a victory in its season opener Friday night in Rochester.
Beenken threw for four touchdowns and helped the Tigers build a 21-0 lead by the middle of the second quarter, but Rochester Mayo responded with five straight touchdown drives and came from behind for a 35-28 victory over its Section 1AAAAA rivals.

Column: When Farmington goes viral
We as a society have become increasingly accustomed to a daily onslaught of videos of people we will never actually meet. We can hardly check our e-mail or scan our Facebook pages anymore without seeing a video of a sneezing kitten, a dog running into a wall or some unfortunate guy getting whacked in his privates, a home-video favorite since well before Bob Saget was televising crotch-related tragedies for all the country to see.
