Volleyball limps into post-season
A year ago at this time, Farmington was hitting its stride just in time for the start of a long run through the Section 1AAA volleyball tournament. The Tigers ended up winning six games in a row en route to their first-ever state tournament appearance. This year’s much less experienced squad showed flashes of competitive play during the season, but heads into next week’s section tournament having lost five in a row while falling to a record of 8-18.By Matt Steichen , October 20, 2010

A 1-3 showing at the competitive Burnsville Tournament has the Farmington volleyball team sitting at 8-16 heading into the final week of the regular season. But the Tigers still have something to play for.
