Section 1AA hockey: Tigers ready for a rematch with Lakeville North
Farmington started the Section 1AA tournament the same way it did last season, by piling up eight goals in a home victory over Dodge County Friday night at Schmitz-Maki Arena. The Tigers are hoping their second tournament game will play out differently than it did a year ago, when they lost 5-3 in a semifinal showdown at Lakeville North. What a difference a healthy Krystal Baumann can make. With Baumann playing through an illness Tuesday night, the Farmington girls hockey team as a whole looked “sick, tired and out of it,” according to head coach Jon Holmes, in a 5-1 loss to second-ranked (Class 1A) Blake at Schmitz-Maki Arena.
