Suspect acquitted in 2008 fire
A Dakota County jury has acquitted the man accused of setting the Farmington American Legion on fire Feb. 10, 2008. On Friday, the jury delivered a not guilty verdict in the case against Kevin Leroy Kraus, the man who was brought up on felony charges for causing the fire after allegedly dropping lit cigarette butts down an air return shaft at the Legion.By Michelle Leonard , August 05, 2010

Unusual First District race among primary battles
Farmington has no local primary races, but there is still reason for voters to cast their ballots Aug. 10. Voting is from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. There is a race for one of the 1st District judges’ position, currently held by Timothy Blakely. Stephen Baker and Larry Clark are challenging him.
