Swimming: Tigers keep busy

By Saturday night the Farmington swimming and diving team was in need of a breather. The Tigers continued to build toward the post-season by competing in three meets in a span of five days. They capped off the hectic stretch with a third-place finish at Saturday’s Section 1AA True Team Meet at Northfield.

Magalis, 200 freestyle earn first place for 4th-place Tigers

Farmington’s boys swimming and diving team opened its season with a pair of first-place performances during a fourth-place team finish at Saturday’s Prior Lake Invite at Hidden Oaks Middle School. The Tigers finished with 312 points, just 26 less than third-place Watertown-Mayer. Cretin-Derham Hall outscored Prior Lake 543-507 for the team title and Shakopee was a distant fifth with 128 points.
