Updated As expected, the District 196 schools — Rosemount, Apple Valley, Eagan and Eastview — announced they were withdrawing from the Lake Conference. Along with several current Lake schools, and Prior Lake, the group will create the new 10-member South Suburban Conference beginning next season.
Darah Robertson, a 2007 graduate of Farmington High School, was headed south on Cedar Avenue in Apple Valley around 3 a.m. June 7 when she was hit by 59-year-old man westbound on County Road 42. Neither the man nor the driver of a third car involved in the accident was seriously injured.
