There are plenty of opportunities this weekend to pay tributes to the men and women who have given their lives in service of their country. Local Memorial Day ceremonies will take place Sunday and Monday at cemeteries in the Farmington area.
The downtown Farmington farmer’s market will kick off from 3 to 7 p.m. July 9 in the lot next to Aaron Chiropractic (formerly Lampert Lumber) at 109 Spruce St. Fresh produce, flowers, berries, eggs and baked goods will be available. The market will return every Thursday through September 24.
Farmington’s Children’s Castle Theater will hold auditions for its production of The Emperor’s New Clothes from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 6 and 7 at Rambling River Center, 431 Third St. No preparation is necessary. There will be 45-60 people cast.
