Farmington High School, police investigate threat
Farmington High School administrators over the weekend received word of a potential threat directed at school. They worked with Farmington Police Department to determine the source.
“Based on the results of the extensive investigation, we are confident there is no existing threat to our students and staff,” Principal Jason Berg said in an email sent Tuesday afternoon to students’ parents. “Our number one concern is always the safety of our school community and we won’t hesitate to take any and all actions necessary to ensure everyone’s safety.”
He applauded students who spoke up when they saw something concerning and he encouraged families to have ongoing conversations about the importance of notifying an adult when coming across something that doesn’t look right.
