Two hurt when car hits empty school bus

A driver and passenger were taken to Regions Hospital Wednesday morning after a car collided with a Farmington school bus on Flagstaff Avenue in Lakeville.

According to Lakeville police Lt. Jim Puncochar, the Marshall Lines bus was southbound on Flagstaff at around 8:20 a.m. when an eastbound car failed to yield and hit it. There were no students on the bus at the time.

Puncochar said the driver and the passenger in the car were both taken by ambulance to Regions Hospital. The driver complained about head injuries and the passenger, a Farmington High School student, had less significant injuries, Puncochar said.

The bus driver had possible injuries but was not transported to the hospital.
