Lamberty, Frank M., age 93 of Farmington MN, passed away on December 18, 2017. Preceded in death by Wife Betty (Remick) Lamberty, Son James Lamberty, Daughter Bev (Lamberty) Bohm, Parents Louis and & Laura (VanThomme) Lamberty, Brother George Lamberty, Sister Marion (Lamberty) Berry and an infant sister Doris. Frank was born January 23, 1924 in Faribault MN. He married the love of his life Betty Remick September 30, 1943. When he was 21 he was drafted in the Army and served in Japan at the end of WWII. After he was discharged he and his wife took over the family farm in Faribault. When he was growing up on the farm there was no indoor plumbing or electricity. Fields were plowed by horse and in later years he got together with the local farmers and purchased some tractors to share. The farm was upgraded with plumbing and electricity before he left the farm. He left the family farm and moved to South Dakota, under the Rule Electrical Association (REA) he was responsible for bringing electricity to many family farms who never had access to electricity. He then moved back to the family farm for 10 years. Frank and his best friend Edgar Severson purchased a Bowling Alley in North Mankato, MN. They ran the bowling alley and attached restaurant for a few years. He settled in Farmington, MN and resumed his electrical career and was a member of the IBEW 110. He established himself in the community where he lived for the remaining 55 years of his life. During his life he was a longtime member of the American Legion, VFW, Knights of Columbus. He was very active in his local church and community. He loved his Family, fishing, gardening, golfing, bowling and walking daily. He was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew him. Survived by his children, Joyce (John) Blowers, Jan (Willie Dahl) Reinke, Barb (Pete) Brunette, Peter (Elizabeth) Lamberty, Paul (Katina) Lamberty, Mary Jo (Steve) Nordvik, Laura (Rocky) Rand; 22 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren and one sister-in-law Paralee Lamberty. Funeral service at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Farmington, MN Friday, December 22 at 11:00 AM. Visitation at White Funeral Home in Farmington, MN, Thursday December 21 from 4-8 PM, also one hour prior service at church. Luncheon following and interment at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Faribault, MN.
