Farmington Gymnastics Center has success at MAGA meet
The Farmington Gymnastics Center Falcons finished third in the upper division and the gym’s Grizzlies took first in the middle division at a recent MAGA meet. The FGC Cobras finished third in the middle division.
Woodbury won the upper division meet with 124.35 points.
Farmington Grizzlies had 109.6 points to win the middle division. Farmington Cobras scored 107.2.
Among the upper division competitors, Macyn Hins finished second in the novice age division all-around with a score of 28.25 points. Kinsley Taylor was third with 21.30.
In the child age division, Selah Bunkers took fifth in the all-around with a 30.7 and Bailey McCuddin was ninth.
Madison Jones was third in the junior age division all-around with a 29.85; Morgan Wagner was fifth with a 29.
No Farmington gymnast placed in the all-around of the senior age division, but Kyla Bauman won the floor exercise with an 8.90.
In the middle division novice age group, Ella Oberer was 10th with a score of 20.65.
In the child age division, Libby Bolton won the all-around with a 27.45, Isabelle Anderson was fifth with a 25.55 and Ella Stender was sixth with a 25.45. Stender also won the vault. Sam Ruby won the bars and Bolton won the beam.
In the junior age division, Erynne Thom finished second with a 28.45 and Lauren Eccles took third with a 28.2. Rachael Kammueller was sixth, Lauren Lee was seventh and Ashleigh Buckman was eighth. Eccles took first in the vault and floor exercise and, and Thom won the beam.
“The girls had an amazing first meet representing Farmington with great sportsmanship and honor,” coach Lynn Bauman said. “I am very proud of all their performances. New routines and bigger and better skills to start the season.”
