Farmington girls tennis round-up

Farmington’s five-match winning streak came to an end with a 5-2 setback against South St. Paul Friday morning at the Boeckman Middle School courts.

The Tigers picked up one singles win and one doubles win. At No. 4 singles, Callie Olmscheid came from behind to win 5-7, 6-4 (10-4).

In doubles play, Beth and Lindsey Fairchild ran their record to a perfect 8-0 on the season with a 6-0, 6-1 decision.

South St. Paul won the other five matches in straight sets.

The Tigers resumed their rain-delayed match at Bloomington Jefferson Tuesday and are back home this afternoon for their Missota Conference opener against Northfield.
