Rose Mary McClintock, 84, of Bonita Springs, Fla., died Monday, Aug. 1, 2011. Formerly of Farmington, Minn., she had been a Bonita resident for the last 15 years. She was born April 2, 1927, in Vermillion, Minn., the daughter of Vincent J. and Catherine (nee Wagner) Rother. She was the secretary to the Farmington Elementary School principal for 20 years and loved every child and teacher she met. Rose is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Merle H. McClintock; her devoted daughter and grandson, Cheryl (the late David) Sandberg of Bonita Springs and Eric V.
Mary C. Chandler died July 31, 2011. Funeral service was held Aug. 2 at White Funeral Home, Farmington. Interment, Castle Rock Valley Cemetery.
Joshua Alan Bass, age 2 months, of Farmington, son of Scott and Leah Bass, passed away July 31, 2011. Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, at Celebration Church, 16655 Kenyon Ave. W., Lakeville, with memorial visitation from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at White Funeral Home, 14560 Pennock Ave., Apple Valley, and also 1 hour prior to service at church.
Michelle Mary (Nicklay) Shaffer, age 39, of Farmington, died of breast cancer on July 28, 2011. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at the Church of St. Joseph, 13900 Biscayne Ave W., Rosemount, with visitation 2 hours prior. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, at the Church of St. Joseph. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights. In lieu of flowers, an education fund for Michelle's children has been established in her memory entitled the "Michelle M. Shaffer" Fund at US Bank, 15025 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley, Minn.
Father Joseph T. Gannon, age 96, of St. Paul, originally of Farmington, Minn., passed away on July 19, 2011. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, at St. Helena Catholic Church, 3201 E. 43rd St., Minneapolis. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the O'Halloran & Murphy Funeral Home, 575 S. Snelling Ave, St. Paul, 651-698-0796, and 1 hour prior to Mass at church Wednesday. Interment St. Michael Cemetery, Farmington. Memorials preferred to the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.
Thomas William Vogel, age 61, of Farmington, passed away on July 14, 2011, in Edina, Minn. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, at the White Funeral Home, 901 3rd St., Farmington, with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Interment St. Michael's Cemetery, Farmington. A memorial fund will be established at Anchor Bank in lieu of flowers.
Michael "M." Nibbe, 45, a lifelong resident of Red Wing, died peacefully at home on Thursday, July 14, after a 2-1/2-year battle with cancer. He was born Oct. 18, 1965, in Red Wing, the son of Marvin and Francell (Kolberg) Nibbe. Throughout his high school years he was an active sports enthusiast, always excelling in every sport in which he participated. He was a 1984 graduate of Red Wing High School and went on to further his education in arena management.

Rex A. Pettis, age 93, of Farmington, passed away on July 13, 2011. Viola Henrietta "Vye" Nelson, age 101, of Farmington, passed away Dec. 31, 2010, in San Diego, Calif. Vye was born on the family farm (in a log cabin) west of Webster, Minn., Dec. 27, 1909, to William and Anna (Keske) Wiese. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Webster. After her primary schooling, she attended a beauty school in Minneapolis. She was united in marriage to Christ Nelson in 1932. They settled in Farmington where she opened the Charm Beauty Shop which she owned until the early 1950s. She and Christ purchased the Farmington Auto Co.
