Mabel Jenny Storlie, age 93, of Lakeville, formerly of Farmington, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2010, surrounded by her family at home. Memorial service was Saturday, August 28, at Christiania Lutheran Church, Lakeville, with a gathering of family and friends held prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Christiania Lutheran Church or Last Hope, Inc., companion pet rescue, of Farmington. The family wishes to thank the staff at Centennial House, Saint Jude Hospice, Fairview Southdale and Aceracare Hospice for all the care and love they gave Mabel.
Derek Lee "Rick" Gilmer, age 46, of Castle Rock, died on Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at the Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis following a serious cardiac arrest on Saturday at the Gilmer family cabin on Knife Lake. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 27, at the Crossroads Church, 17671 Glacier Way, Lakeville, Minn. Interment took place at the Greenvale Cemetery in Castle Rock. Visitation was held from 4-7 p.m.
Loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Ruth Elaine Hauschildt-Murphy, 80, of Cannon Falls, died Saturday, August 21, at Twin Rivers Assisted Living in Cannon Falls. She was born March 12, 1930, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Myrle and Vera (St. John) Alexander. She graduated from Farmington High School in 1948. On August 22, 1950, she married Gordon Hauschildt. They lived in Welch. She worked at Smead's Manufacturing in Hastings for many years and did foster care for five years. Gordon died on Feb. 28, 1990. She married Joe Murphy on November 2, 1993.
Mildred Ann Foss, age 80, of Hampton, passed away August 17, 2010. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Friday, August 20, at St Mary's Catholic Church in New Trier, Minn. Robert E. Tamble, age 46, of Farmington, passed away unexpectedly August 15, 2010. Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 18, with visitation from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, all at the Cremation Society of MN, Edina, 952-924-4100.
Russell Ostlie, age 88, of rural Lakeville, died on August 9, 2010. Preceded in death by wife, Mardell, and brothers, Edwin and Ray. Survived by sons, Wynn (Pat) of Farmington, Richard (Carol), Tom (Karen), all of rural Lakeville; daughter Joan (Jack) Eckdahl of rural Lakeville; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services were held Friday, August 13, at Christiania Lutheran Church in rural Lakeville with Rev. Dave officiating.

Bessie Earline Ollila, age 92, of Apple Valley, formerly of Farmington, passed away August 10, 2010, at North Ridge Care Center in New Hope. Preceded in death by her husband, Albert, and brother, O. Lee Dooley. She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn (Steve) Feeny; grandchildren, Allison (Cameron) Becker, Briana Feeny, and Chad Feeny; sister-in-law Jeanne Dooley; brother- and sister-in-law Willard and LaVonne Ollila; also by her close friend and companion Tom Nygard and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday, August 16, at Faith United Methodist Church, Farmington.
Jerry Kenneth Wear, age 62, of Farmington, passed away August 3, 2010. Funeral service was Saturday, August 7, at the White Funeral Home, Farmington, with visitation on Friday and prior to service. Interment was August 9 at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
Herman J. Meyers Jr., age 74, of Farmington, passed away on August 3, 2010. Preceded in death by his parents, Herman Sr. and Anna; brothers, George and Jack; sister, Mary; and son Ronald. Survived by longtime companion of 25 years, Grace LaBelle; children, Susan (Steve) Bidwell, Thomas Meyers, John (Terri) Meyers, Carolyn Hyten, Jim (Renee) Meyers and Chad Meyers. The pride of his life was his 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also survived by sisters, Rita Braun and Lenora Endres, brother, Ken Meyers, many nieces and nephews.
