Richard J. "Dick" Hunter, age 85, of Hot Springs, S.D., passed away Dec. 19, 2010, at his home. Dick was born on the family homestead in Ziebach County, S.D., on Aug. 9, 1925. His parents were Fred and Ruth Hunter. Dick attended grade school at a one-room country school in Ziebach County and attended high school in Eagle Butte, S.D. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kansas, and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of South Dakota.
Analia Elaine Simmons, 5 years old, of Farmington, daughter of Awbria and Nathan Simmons, passed away on Dec. 17, 2010. Thelma JoAnn Disterhaupt, Aug. 13, 1930 - Dec. 11, 2010, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, passed away peacefully Dec. 11, 2010, at Three Links Care Center in Northfield, Minn., at the age of 80. Born in Atkinson, Neb., Aug.
Harold Dubbels, age 96, of North Mankato, Minn., formerly of Farmington, Minn., went to meet his Lord at 7 p.m. Dec. 11, 2010, at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato, Minn. Harold graduated from North Central Bible Institute, worked in the shipyards in Tacoma, Wash., and the steel mills in Duluth, Minn., was a successful farmer, and owned and operated a nursing home in Arlington, Minn. He greatly enjoyed his retirement, living on the lakes of Northern Minnesota.
Edward A. Mahowald, 85, went to his Lord, surrounded by his children, on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, at Augustana Regent in Burnsville, Minn. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 22120 Denmark Ave., Farmington. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at White Funeral Home, 901 3rd Street, Farmington, and 1 hour prior to Mass at church.

Rodney Albert Bartelds, age 71, of New Market, passed away Dec. 1, 2010, in Northfield. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, at Bethlehem Lutheran, 20270 Iberia Ave., Lakeville, with visitation 3-7 p.m. Sunday at White Funeral Home, 20134 Kenwood Trail (Cty Rd 50), Lakeville, and 1 hour prior to service at church. Tamara Lynn Schneider, age 50, of Farmington, passed away on Dec. 2, 2010. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeff. Survived by loving husband, Anthony Schneider; parents, Duane Fink and Mary Ford; siblings, Duane Collier Jr. and Kevin (Debbie) Fink; also by other loving relatives and friends. Marie Ethyln (Hemenway) Stapf, 89, passed away Nov. 27, 2010. She was born on March 21, 1921, in Castle Rock, Minn., to Hazel (Cowell) and Benjamin Hemenway. She spent her childhood in Castle Rock and Farmington where she attended school. She loved playing basketball. She was united in marriage to William Jacob Stapf in Prescott, Wis., on Sept. 27, 1937. They made their home in Farmington where they had three daughters, Sharon (Sherry), Marlene and Marlys (twins).
