Ralph N. Eilen, age 82 of Hampton, died Aug. 22, 2009 at Regina Medical Center in Hastings. Ralph was born on April 6, 1927 in Miesville, to John and Elizabeth Eilen He was drafted into the Army in 1945 and discharged in 1948. He was also a member of the American Legion. He was self-employed in the feed business for many years including owning and operating Eilen Feed Service and also farmed in the Hampton area. He then purchased the R & R Bar in Hampton and ran it until 1971.
Mary Ann Rohde, 81, formerly of Superior, Wis., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009, at Augustana Health Care Center of Apple Valley after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born Oct. 22, 1927, in Bayport, the daughter of John and Francis (Erlandson) Price. Mary Ann was raised in Milwaukee, Wis. She married Gilbert Rohde on Sept. 25, 1948 in Finlayson. They moved to Superior, Wis. in 1953. She was a homemaker for most of her life and a mom.

Harold "Bill" Mahowald, age 68, of Faribault, passed away on Monday, Aug. 3, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, with his family by his side. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Morristown, with Rev. Eugene Chase, pastor, officiating. Harold Louis Mahowald, the son of Frank and Lucille (Wagner) Mahowald, was born on April 21, 1941 in New Market.
Lorraine Marion Goebel Goerss died peacefully at the Trinity Care Center in Farmington on July 25, 2009 at the age of 89. She was born on Aug. 11, 1919 in Verndale. to Herman and Anna Goebel. She attended school in Verndale, and graduated from Miss Wood's Kindergarten and Primary School in Minneapolis. She taught in Mantorville, Warren, and Monticello before teaching in Farmington. She married John Goerss in 1951. Born to this union were two sons, Jeffrey John and Judson Clark. They lived in River Falls, Wis. for four years.
