Mary Catherine Murray, age 87, of Farmington, Minn., passed away peacefully on March 25, 2010 in Glencoe, Minn. Mary was a first grade teacher in the Farmington schools for most of her 40 years of teaching and was teacher of the year. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 22120 Denmark Ave., Farmington, with visitation 1 hour prior to mass at church. Interment 3 p.m. at St. Peter Cemetery in Eden Valley, Minn.

Dolores Franzmeier, age 81, has passed away. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, at the Johnson-Peterson Funeral Home, 612 S. Ethel J. Warweg passed away March 5. Private family graveside services will be held at a later date in Farmington. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the Fairmount Ave. United Methodist Church Building Fund or the Becketwood Piano Fund.
Florence Vincent, nee Pietsch, age 95, of Farmington, passed away on Feb. 24, 2010. Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at Faith United Methodist Church, 710 8th St., Farmington, with visitation one hour prior to service.
Betty J. (Flanagan) Franke, age 80, of Burnsville, passed away on Feb. 23, 2010, losing her fight with lung disease. Betty was born on Dec. 3, 1929, in Tama, Iowa, to James and Della Clapp. She grew up in Hopkins and resided in St. Paul and Farmington with her husband, Glen Flanagan, where they raised their six children. Betty's zest and love for life touched so many people in her own special way. She had a gift of warmth, love and compassion for all people. Preceded in death by her husbands, Glen Flanagan and Wendell Franke; brother, Jimmy and wife Sylvia Clapp.
Kay Francis (Summers) Mayes passed away peacefully Feb. 19, 2010, in Kingfisher, Okla., at the age of 65. She had been battling non-Hodgkin's lymphoma for two years. Kay was born Oct. 8, 1944, to Leo and Mary Summers in Farmington, Minn. She married Richard Wieland and had two children. They later divorced and she moved to New Jersey with Don Mayes. They married, and had a daughter, and raised all three children. In 1984, Kay, Don, and Dawn moved to Oklahoma.
Elayne A. Carter, age 85, of Lakeville, passed away peacefully at her home on Feb. 18, 2010. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 8520 202nd St., Lakeville. A gathering of family and friends will be 1 hour prior to service.
