Harold "Bill" Mahowald, age 68, of Faribault, former owner of the Gambles store in Farmington and employee of Happy Harry's Furniture, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, with his family by his side. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Morristown, with Rev. Eugene Chase, pastor, officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9-11:30 a.m. at the church. Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault.
Lorraine Marion Goebel Goerss, 89, died peacefully at the Trinity Care Center in Farmington on July 25, 2009. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 7 at Farmington Lutheran Church.
Marie L. (Schaffer) Auge, age 95 of Farmington, passed away on July 26, 2009. She was preceded in death by husband, Carroll; brothers Gervais and Richard Schaffer. Marie is survived by children Janet (Roger) Cook, Joe (Dolores) Auge, John (Mary) Auge, Carol Widener and Dana (Greg) Slette; 22 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson. Regina Riegert, (Mayer, Rahn) age 92 of Rosemount passed away on 7/20/09 after a short illness. She lived most of her life in Farmington and Rosemount where she owned Jean's Beauty Salons. Preceded in death by husbands Albert Mayer, Edward Rahn and Joe Riegert, five brothers,one sister and one granddaughter. Survived by daughter Shirley Harr; son Gerald Mayer, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, July 24 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 13900 Biscayne Ave., Rosemount. Visitation from 5-8 p.m.

Lester W. Stapf, 89, of rural Farmington, died July 20, 2009, at Three Links Care Center in Northfield, after a brief illness. Mr. Stapf was born Nov. 2, 1919, at the Stapf family farm in Empire Township, Dakota County. He was a trucker for many years, for a time in the late 1930s driving for Dart Transportation, hauling freight between Chicago and Minneapolis/St. Paul during the early years of over-the-road trucking.
Harry W. Smith, age 86, of Rosemount, born May 18, 1923 in Cadogan, Penn. to Samuel and Sadie Smith, passed away July 15, 2009. Harry served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserve.
Glenn D. "Zeke" Millard, age 54, of St. Louis Park, died July 18, 2009 after a battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Gail Millard; sisters Kathryn and Shanna; and brother, Douglas. Survived by his mother, Gladys; grandmother, Catherine Millard; siblings Linda Barnes, Richard (Holly) Millard, Gayla (John) Gilbertson, Danny Millard, Wayne Millard and Maijaliisa Millard; fiancee, Betty Schmit and Brandi.
