Irene (Churchill) Deegan, age 97 of Farmington, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2009. She was preceded in death by husband, James Edward Deegan; and son, Daniel Churchill. Irene is survived by daughter Diane (Churchill) Phillips & husband David; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Norbert Charles Stoffel, age 88 of Cannon Falls, died on Sunday morning, June 14, 2009, at the Angels Care Center in Cannon Falls. Fred Partington, age 88, of Hastings, originally of Farmington, died May 29, 2009 at Regina Medical Center. The funeral service, officiated by Gordon Gathright was held at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home on June 1, 2009. Interment with military honors provided by Hastings V.F.W. Jeanette M. Soltys, 79, died at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday May 20, 2009 in Our Lady of Peace Hospital, South Bend. She was born on June 11, 1929 in Plum City, Wis., to the late Frank and Magdalene (Sagstetter) Hince. On June 20, 1953 in Minneapolis, she married Joseph L. Soltys who preceded her in death on August 24, 2005 in Osceola. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Edith Hoffman and a brother, Joseph Hince. She was a retired registered nurse. She graduated in 1947 from high school in Farmington. Received her nursing degree in St. Paul.
