Resolution of the Cemetery Board of

Farmington, MN 55024
Attempt to Contact Descendant of John and Mary Langer
WHEREAS, John Langer purchased 4 grave lots, identified as Plot 1 Lot 12 Graves 1-4, inclusive, in 1916 in St. Michael Cemetery, and he and his wife, Mary, were individually interred in two of the lots (Mary in 1916; John in 1919), and to the best knowledge of this board there remain two of the graves still unused, and
WHEREAS, for over 60 years there has never been any known contact with this board by any descendant of John and Mary Langer, and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 306.242 Subd. 1 allows for a cemetery to revest itself with the title to part of a cemetery that was conveyed by deed to a person but that has not been used for the purposes of burial for more than 60 years.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the two unused lots of John and Mary Langer be revested to this cemetery and be made available for resale unless a descendant of said original owner presents clear evidence that they are legally entitled to title of these lots and the burial rights represented by same, and that such evidence must be received by the cemetery board no later than 4:00PM on Monday, July 1, 2019.
I certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the Cemetery Board of St. Michael Catholic Church - Farmington, MN at a properly noticed open meeting held on the 10th day of April, 2019, at which a quorum was present.
