AN INTERIM ORDINANCE OF
VERMILLION TOWNSHIP, DAKOTA COUNTY, MINNESOTA, ENACTING A MORATORIUM ON THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF SOLAR ARRAYS WITHIN VERMILLION TOWNSHIP
Dated: May 21, 2019
The Vermillion Town Board has adopted an interim ordinance enacting a moratorium on the establishment of solar arrays within Vermillion Township and has determined that publication of the title and summary of the ordinance amendment would clearly inform the public of the intent and effect of the ordinance.
The interim ordinance establishes a moratorium prohibiting the placement, construction or expansion of solar arrays, as defined in the interim ordinance, during the 12-month period of the interim ordinance. These interim regulations shall be in place for up to one year to allow the Town Board sufficient time to study the regulations and standards applicable to solar arrays and to develop and adopt any needed ordinance amendments.
The foregoing is a summary of the identified interim ordinance and notice is hereby given that a printed copy of the entire interim ordinance is available for inspection by any person during regular office hours at the Office of the Town Clerk and at the Dakota County Law Library, Dakota County Government Center, Hastings, Minnesota.
