ArtStart will help participants create a pin, a necklace or a bracelet to jazz up your wardrobe from 10 a.m. to noon July 26 at the Dakota County Farmington Library. The session is for kids ages 4 to 12. The library is located at 508 Third St.
Relay for Life
Farmington's annual Relay for Life fundraiser will take place from 6 p.m. July 27 to 6 a.m. July 28 at Boeckman Middle School. Christian Life Church will hold its 11th annual Life Fest celebration from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 28 at the church, 6300 212th St. W. The event will feature inflatable games, carnival games, a hog roast and a car show. Everything at Life Fest is free and the event is open to the public. Double Trouble Birthday
The PuppetTellers will entertain with the story of two friends who throw their birthday parties on the same day, at the same time. The show will take place from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. July 28 at the Dakota County Farmington Library. The library is located at 508 Third St.
Super Tuesday in the garden
The Dakota County Master Gardeners will hold a Super Tuesday event from 5 to 8 p.m. July 31 at their research display gardens at 1605 West 160th St. Participants can see presentations on topics including growing healthy fruits and vegetables or attracting birds, bees and butterflies, or just explore the more than two dozen gardens on the property. The garden is one mile east of the intersection of County Road 46 and Highway 3.
Storytime in the park
Kids can listen to stories, play games and make crafts at the Dakota County Farmington Library's storytime in the park from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Aug. 1 at Meadowview Park, 5550 197th St. Storytime in the park is a partnership between the library and Farmington Parks and Recreation.
Duct tape crafts
Make a wallet, a cell phone or some other item at the Dakota County Farmington Library's make-and-take duct tape crafts from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 1. Supplies are provided. The library is located at 508 Third St.
Learn to draw
Kids 6 to 12 can learn to draw Peter Pan fairies with Abrakadoodle from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Aug. 2 at the Dakota County Farmington Library. Supplies are provided. Registration is required for this free class. Call 651-438-0250 or visit dakotacounty.us/library.
