Farmington Ambassador Program seeks candidate
The Farmington Ambassador Program is seeking a candidate for 2019. The program offers unique growth and educational experiences to young women throughout the city of Farmington, school district, and Castle Rock, Eureka and Empire townships. A $1,200 educational scholarship will be award to each of the three Miss Ambassadors.
The candidate program lasts approximately eight weeks during the spring with events that can work with a candidate's schedule. Through the candidacy program, participants improve public speaking and interview skills, participate in resume building and branding activities, and give back to the community all the while making lifetime connections.
Seven candidates are selected to represent Farmington as public relations ambassadors. Candidates spread a positive impression of Farmington at festivals across the state, support local nonprofits and organizations, and learn to give through service opportunities.
Qualifications to be a candidate include:
• Live within the city of Farmington; Castle Rock, Eureka or Empire townships; or attend a 192 ISD school.
• Currently in second or third grade (Little)
• Currently in sixth, seventh or eighth grade (Junior)
• A junior in high school (be 17 years old by July 1, 2019) or up to 20 years old (Miss)
